DESCRIPTION:Target Audience\nThis CPD course is for the Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs)\, Lawyers\, Paralegals\, law graduates and students. \nLearning Objectives\nBy attending this session the participants explore reasons for criminal inadmissibility and potential solutions such as record suspension\, rehabilitation\, TRP\, and ARC. \nTraining Agenda \n\nCriminality v serious criminality – 30 minutes\nBorder offences – 10 minutes\nRecord suspension for in-Canada offences – 20 minutes\nRehabilitation application v deemed rehabilitated – 30 minutes\nARC\, TRP\, and H&C – 30 minutes\n\nAl Parsai (LLM\, MA\, RCIC-IRB ) – Speaker/Persenter \nAl Parsai is an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Law at Queens University. He holds an LL.M degree in Dispute Resolution from York University and an MA in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. He is also the Best Selling Author of the book “88 Tips on Immigration to Canada” and has delivered speeches and courses in Canada\, Iran\, the UAE and the UK. He has also been interviewed on Canadian Lawyer\, the National Post\, and other news media. \nAl has been practicing immigration since 2011\, specifically in temporary residence\, permanent residence\, IRB hearings\, and inadmissibility. He has represented hundreds of applicants from more than 50 countries to the Canadian immigration authorities. In addition to his work as a Professor\, Al Parsai has his immigration firm in downtown Toronto\, Ontario.
