SUMMARY:Mediation: Facilitating Conflict Resolution by Achieve Centre for Leadership
DESCRIPTION:This is a live virtual event using Zoom\, an online meeting platform. Please check your system requirements prior to registering.\n\n\n\nUnresolved conflict is time consuming and limits the productivity of everyone involved. Mediation is an essential skill for anyone who works in situations where they are responsible for helping others with interpersonal tension. When two people can’t resolve a conflict on their own\, a third party may be needed to facilitate a conversation to help resolve the conflict. This skills-based workshop provides the tools to work with people in conflict to clarify misunderstandings\, identify interests\, and work towards options for resolving the conflict. He has done mediation and conflict resolution work for organizations in Canada\, the United States and internationally\, and holds a Qualified Mediator designation from the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada. In addition to training and consulting with ACHIEVE and his non-profit group\, David works in the field of mediation where he volunteers as a mediator for the court diversion program in Manitoba. In whatever role David finds himself\, his passion for motivating people to continue on their personal journey of learning and growth shines through. David believes that no matter what our role is in the workplace\, we can all continue to grow in our skills to improve our own life and to help improve the lives of others. As a trainer\, he is known for his dynamic workshop facilitation that combines humour and real-world application.
