SUMMARY:Interim Remedies: Mastering the Pre-emptive Strike in High Stakes Litigation 2023
DESCRIPTION:More and more\, public and private litigants are resorting to early interim remedies to achieve litigation objectives. Commercial disputes see the use of Mareva\, Norwich\, and Anton Piller orders. Employers and business buyers use injunctions to enforce restrictions on services and businesses. Public organizations use freezing orders\, interim orders\, and forfeiture orders to intervene in industries. These parties recognize that without early intervention\, you can wind up with a hollow victory at the end of a long course of litigation. \nIn the dynamic world of 21st-century globally interconnected commerce\, the value of rapid early action with interim remedies is more important than ever. The early contest may become the only meaningful contest. \nThis course will review a range of interim remedies in a variety of operating contexts. The objective of this course is to strengthen the “blitz” toolkit that every modern commercial litigator should have at the ready. \nLaw Society of BC CPD Hours: 5 hours (this course will contain a minimum of 1 hour pertaining to professional responsibility and ethics\, client care and relations\, and/or practice management). Please note: The CPD hours of the rebroadcast will either meet or exceed the CPD hours of the original live webinar course. \nCourse Chair\nChilwin Cheng — Ascendion Law\, Vancouver \n\n\n\nPricing\nEARLY BIRD \nRegister by May 23/23\nRegular Price\nAfter May 23/23\n\n\n\n\nLive Webinar\n$410   $369\n$479   $410\n\n\nLive Webinar Articled Student\n$238.50   $205\n$238.50   $205\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSummer Series 2023\nEARLY BIRD \nRegister by June 19/23\nRegular Price\nAfter June 19/23\n\n\n\n\nRebroadcast\n$371\n$412\n\n\nRebroadcast Articled Student\n$206\n$206\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAre you an Indigenous lawyer or community member?\nClick here for special pricing.\nDo you need financial assistance?\nClick here for bursary information.Experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19?\nYou may be eligible for further reductions in our course prices.\nPlease contact Customer Service for more information.Registration includes an electronic copy of the reference materials.\n\n\n\nJust want the materials from the course?\nSubscribe to Online Course Materials and access 5\,400+ papers produced for CLEBC courses since 2001. \nWant to register for a course now\, but prefer a monthly payment plan?\nCheck out our Easy Pay Plan. \nCLEBC Program Lawyer*\nRaymond Lee\nrlee@cle.bc.ca\n*non-practising \n—Rebroadcast— \nSummer Series 2023: \n\nFriday\, July 21\, 2023\nFriday\, July 28\, 2023\n\nOn the rebroadcast date\, you will have until midnight of that rebroadcast date to access the course.
