This session will cover issues for employer-side counsel\, like how to properly prepare a termination letter\, how to decide if conduct warrants termination for just cause\, and the types of conduct that may expose employers to “moral” damages. Lawyers representing employees will hear about how to quickly screen employment cold calls\, how to advise on mitigation efforts\, and what ‘add-ons’ can be claimed to get your client a little extra. This session is designed for lawyers practicing a little\, or a lot\, of employment law\, and will keep you current on the ever-changing legal landscape of wrongful dismissal. \nIn-person attendance is strongly encouraged where possible.
