DESCRIPTION:Emotions are powerful and can be challenging to define\, yet they play a crucial role in our interactions and well-being. Emotional intelligence is the ability to understand and manage our own emotions\, as well as recognize and influence the emotions of others. \nThis workshop explores the importance of emotional intelligence in the workplace\, giving you the tools to enhance your emotional awareness and communication skills. Through self-assessment and skill development exercises\, you will learn to identify and articulate your own emotions\, constructively respond to the emotions of others\, and create an environment where everyone feels heard and understood. Many people avoid difficult conversations for these reasons\, or find themselves ill prepared when they must have them. SUMMARY:Advanced Family Mediation - Dealing with Difficult Issues in Family Mediation
DESCRIPTION:Thursday and Friday\, April 15 and 16\, 2027\n9:00 am – 5:30 pm (both days)\nattend via webinar \nLimited enrolment. Register early to avoid disappointment! \nPlease note: This course will not be added to Courses on Demand.  Courses involving professional speakers and skills-based workshops generally do not get added to Courses on Demand. \nWho should attend: All those wishing to enhance their mediation skills and understanding. This course is essential for new family mediators. \nLearning level: Advanced \nThe fourth and final course in CLEBC’s Family Law Mediation curriculum\, this program will focus on issues such as bias and impartiality\, ethical issues in mediation\, high-conflict personalities\, culture\, co-mediation\, and multiparty disputes. \nFor those wishing to become Family Law Mediators under the Family Law Act\, this is the final course in our 80-hour curriculum. \nThis course will count for 16 hours of mediation training and will include exercises and role-plays in mediation settings. \nPlease note: This course is offered remotely through a Zoom platform. A device equipped with a camera and microphone will be required to participate. \nPrerequisites:\n \n\nIntroduction to Family Dispute Resolution or equivalent training\nFamily Law Mediation Fundamentals or equivalent training\nLevel 2 – Intermediate Family Law Mediation or equivalent training\n\nThis course would be the appropriate course for those who have completed Family Law Mediation Levels 1\, 2 & 3 under our previous curriculum design.
