The Ontario Regional Office (ORO) is responsible for federal prosecutions in southern and southwestern Ontario, from Windsor in the west to Peterborough in the east, and northward to Georgian Bay and the districts encompassing Barrie and Lindsay. The regional headquarters is located in Toronto, with local offices in Brampton, Kitchener, Newmarket and London.
The majority of the files handled in the ORO involve drug-related offences. Counsel also prosecute criminal organization, terrorism, and tax evasion offences, as well as offences under the Canada Elections Act and the Corruption of Foreign Public Officials Act.
As Deputy Chief Federal Prosecutor (DCFP) you will work alongside your fellow DCFP and the Chief Federal Prosecutor to develop and manage the strategic and operational planning and priority-setting process for the Region which includes the development of effective risk management strategies and service delivery plans and the effective management of both human and financial resources.
