Labrador Legal Clinics Recruitment – PLIAN
Public Legal Information is seeking expressions of interest from lawyers for legal clinics in locations throughout Labrador this fall and winter.
Lawyers will be compensated for their participation in the legal clinics and all travel expenses will be covered by Public Legal Information.
In particular, we are seeking lawyers with experience in the following areas:
- Wills and Estates (including probate and administration on First Nations reserves and knowledge of the Office of the Public Trustee)
- Family Law
- Housing (including Residential Tenancies)
- Indigenous Law (including knowledge of laws relevant to the Nunatsiavut Government, the Sheshatshiu Innu First Nation, and/or the Mushuau Innu First Nation)
Specific dates and locations are to be confirmed, based on consultation with participating lawyers, key community partners, and the Public Legal Information Labrador Office in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
To find out more or to indicate your interest in participating in a legal clinic in Labrador, please contact Paula Michelin (Legal Information and Support Coordinator) at firstname.lastname@example.org or Kevin O’Shea (Executive Director) at email@example.com, or contact the Public Legal Information Labrador Office at 709-896-5235.
