CALL FOR PRESENTERS – Stories of Respect, Dignity, & Mutual Concern: Restorative Justice in Education ’24

What’s your story?
Relationships First Newfoundland & Labrador is seeking innovative, knowledgeable, and passionate presenters for the 2024 RFNL Summer Institute! This immersive hybrid event combines in-person and online experiences and will take place August 26-28, 2024.

Your pre-recorded, 45-minute presentation video will be made available to participants in the weeks before the event. Then, presenters will join participants in a live virtual session to ask and answer questions and dig a little deeper into the content of their pre-recorded presentations. These virtual sessions will be approximately 60 minutes in length and will be relational in design. Each session will have a facilitator.

Target Audience
The 2024 RFNL Summer Institute is open to anyone who wishes to engage with restorative justice in education (RJE) regardless of their level of experience with RJE. We hope to see educators, administrators, community members, caregivers, government officials, and anyone who wants to hear your stories of RJE.

Timeline
Pre-recorded presentations will be made available to participants on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Participants will be able to view and re-watch these presentations at their own pace. Live virtual sessions will take place during the day on Tuesday, August 27, and again on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Presenters must be available to take part in these live Zoom sessions. There will be an in-person, live-streamed opening keynote event on the evening of Monday, August 26, 2024, and we will close with a special presentation late afternoon or early evening on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.
