Under the direction of the Board’s Senior Director of Regulatory and Legal Services, Legal Counsel will be expected to:

• Provide advice to both Commissioners and staff and participate in proceedings before theBoard
• Act as a liaison with stakeholders, including the public, to ensure the effective and efficient conclusion of matters brought to the Board
• Advise the Board in relation to regulatory and legal matters
• Draft correspondence and other documentation
• Direct matters before the Board which may involve collaboration with staff, communication with stakeholders, government, the public as well as supervision of outside consultants
• Act as Board Counsel in hearings and in court
