The Law Society’s Equity and Diversity Committee reports to Benchers with advice and recommendations relating to equity and diversity initiatives.

To help achieve this objective, the Committee is asking members to participate in a Demographic Self-Identification Questionnaire.

The information obtained from the questionnaire will assist the Committee to:

1. ) enhance the representation of diverse communities in the profession;
2. ) better understand demographic trends;
3. ) develop programs and initiatives within the mandate of the Law Society;
4. ) identify any arbitrary barriers to entry and advancement; and
5. ) promote equality and diversity in the legal profession.
