Updated – Information About Bail Supervision Program

UPDATE: As a result of the Covid-19 situation it has been decided that the Bail Supervision Pilot Program will not be starting today as previously indicated. The program will be on hold until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please be advised that the Bail Supervision Program will be implemented as a pilot program in St. John’s and surrounding areas commencing March 17, 2020.

The program will be administered by Corrections and Community Services (Adult Probation) and will be offered to accused, who would normally be granted bail but fail to meet requirements, such as having a surety, or a stable living arrangement.
