Our new Library Technician has begun working at the Law Society Law Library. As a result, we are returning to our regular service hours – Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (closed for lunch from 1-2 ). 

Please continue to direct all reference questions to lawlibrary@lawsociety.nf.ca or call our main library line at (709) 753-7770, so that we may both be able to assist with all reference and research questions.

We would also like to update our members on a new initiative that we have put in place. Return drop boxes have been installed in the lobby of the Law Society building. These are secure drop boxes that members can deliver mail (red drop box) or return library materials (blue drop box) to the Law Society/Law Library, without the need to go into the library, if a signature is not required. These boxes are available 24/7 and all items placed in the boxes will remain secure and accessible only to Law Society staff.

We ask that you share this information with assistants, couriers and others who might be making library or mail runs to the Law Society. If a signature is required, then the items will still need to be brought into the library as normal.
