Law Society Mentoring Program

The Law Society has a Mentoring Program as part of a risk management initiative of the Lawyers’ Insurance Programme.

We are currently updating our list of Mentors and inviting members who have been called to the Bar for a minimum of seven (7) years to participate.

Informal mentoring has occurred within the profession for decades. This more formal Mentoring Program puts some structure to current networking and, in doing so, assist those who might be hesitant about asking for help, or who simply don’t know where to turn for guidance. This Program is voluntary, and serviced by experienced practicing insured members who agree to provide less experienced members with assistance. Some benefits to participating include expanding your personal network, improving camaraderie among members and enhancing career satisfaction.

If you would like to participate in our Mentoring Program, please review the area of law you might assist with from the following list and either email Janice Ringrose at jringrose@lsnl.ca or call the dedicated, confidential insurance phone line at (709) 722-6008:
