Notice to Members: Report any Insurance Claims Now
Report any insurance claims before June 30, 2020
The current professional liability insurance policy for practicing members expires on June 30, 2020. This means that before June 30, you must report any potential problems that you know about now which might possibly, at some point in the future, give rise to an insurance claim against you.
So, if you think you might have made an error in providing professional services to others or, if someone is making allegations (even unmeritorious allegations) against you or, please complete the required attached Reporting Form and email to Janice Ringrose, Insurance & Risk Manager, at insurance@lawsociety.nf.ca before June 30, 2020 and put the Lawyers’ Insurance Programme on notice before the policy year runs out.
Remember, late reporting can compromise your coverage!
