Opportunity: Board of Directors – St. John’s Farmers’ Market

The St. John’s Farmers’ Market is inviting applications to the Board of Directors.  We are a non-profit cooperative on a mission to enhance the community by fostering opportunities for small local farmers, artisans, chefs, and bakers and serving as a diverse community hub of learning and connection.

We champion diversity, local sustainability, and environmental awareness, and believe that we can work collectively to build each other up as a community.

We provide performance space for budding musicians, dancers and buskers, hands-on workshops covering various arts and homesteading topics, and a community classroom where people can learn about everything from rug-hooking to seed preservation.

The SJFM is more than just a market space, it is a community space that celebrates the diverse richness that St. John’s has come to embody.  It is a place of opportunity and discovery.

We are seeking expressions of interest from individuals who might be interested in being part of our Board of Directors.  Board meetings are held monthly, for about two hours each.

Anyone interested in running for the Board of Directors must first become a member.

Our upcoming AGM is being held virtually on April 20th, so any interested applicants are encouraged to apply by April 10th.
