Basic/Intermediate DM Tools Cloud training Webinar April 12, 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM (NDT)

The goal of the Basic/Intermediate Tools webinar is to provide you with a solid foundation and understanding of the child and spousal support Tools calculations. You will take a close look at some of the more common scenarios including different types of income (eg. employment, self-employment, non-taxable income), special expenses (and related tax deductions and credits), and custody situations including shared custody. This webinar is great for those who are new to DivorceMate and those who need a refresher.

Masters Series 6: Mastering Lump Sum & Life Insurance Calculations / May 12, 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM (NDT)

You will do a thorough review of the lump sum spousal support and life insurance calculations. You will examine Net Present Value (“NPV”) assumptions, indexed vs non indexed discount rates, applying partial lump sum payments, creative uses, plus you’ll review different restructuring scenarios under the SSAG.

Masters Series 7: Mastering Overrides and Cash Flow Adjustments / May 26, 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM (NDT)

You will be shown how to override many of the default calculations in DivorceMate. You will cover how to override Basic CSG Table amounts and Section 7 Special Expenses (including the impact on SSAG ). You will also explore cash flow adjustments such as life insurance and extended health premiums, taxable benefits, RPP/RRSPs, double dipping and more.

Masters Series 8: Mastering Undue Hardship / June 9, 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM (NDT)

Learn how to properly calculate Undue Hardship as per Section 10 of the Child Support Guidelines. You will discuss comparison of the household standards of living, how to account for other household members with/without income, other household spouse vs non-spouse, other undue hardship factors/considerations, including benefits. Plus you’ll review other creative uses of household standards of living.

Master Series 1-3 Replays / April 14 and 21

DivorceMate will also be replaying the Fall 2020 Master Series webinars for those that missed them the first time around: Masters Series 1 – Mastering Income Determination (April 14, 1:30-2:30); Masters Series 2 – Mastering Shared Custody Calculations (April 14, 3:00-4:30); Masters Series 3 – Mastering Special Expenses (April 21, 1:30-2:30)

These programs may be eligible towards your provinces Law Society’s CPD Requirement as Substantive Hours. Please note that this program is not accredited for Professionalism Hours.
All webinars will be made available to everyone who signs up for 15 days after the session.
