The Adult Protection Act, 2021 recently came into force on December 15, 2022. This legislation is intended to protect adults 18 years of age and older in Newfoundland and Labrador who are at risk of abuse, neglect and/or self-neglect, and who do not understand or appreciate that risk. Join our presenters for an overview of the Act as well as its implications for lawyers in practice.
