Summary

By Order of an Adjudication Tribunal of the Disciplinary Panel of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador dated February 20, 2025, Kenneth LeDrew has been disbarred. As a result, Kenneth LeDrew has been struck from the Roll of Barristers in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador and all his rights and privileges as a member of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador have ceased.

Prior to the Order, Kenneth LeDrew had non-practicing status. He previously practiced at 24 Hillcrest Road, Corner Brook, NL. The conduct that was found to be deserving of sanction included:

  • Failure to cooperate with a practice management review;
  • Failure to cooperate with the Law Society;
  • Failure to respond to communications from the Law Society;
  • Sending correspondence to the Law Society that was abusive, offensive or otherwise inconsistent with the proper tone of a professional communication from a lawyer;
  • Failure to report a judgement to the Law Society; and
  • Failure to self-report a criminal charge.

The Adjudication Tribunal ordered:

  1. The Respondent be disbarred;
  2. The Respondent is ungovernable; and
  3. The Respondent shall pay costs to the Law Society in the amount of $5,650.00 plus disbursements within 12 months of this decision.

Summary

An Adjudication Tribunal of the Disciplinary Panel of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, having conducted a hearing pursuant to the Law Society Act, 1999, concluded that Kenneth LeDrew, of Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador, is guilty of conduct deserving of sanction.

The Adjudication Tribunal directed the Law Society and Kenneth LeDrew to reconvene on a date to be determined for the purpose of addressing the appropriate sanctions.
