Megan was born and raised in western Newfoundland, living in the small town of Kippens and is a member of the Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation. She is an incoming first-year student at the University of New Brunswick’s Faculty of Law.

Megan is a recent graduate from Memorial University of Newfoundland where she completed her Bachelor of Arts with a major in French and a minor in English. While pursuing her Bachelor’s degree she earned several academic awards including the Grenfell Campus Vice-President’s List in the 2022-2023 academic year, as well as the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Dean’s List for three consecutive years.

This summer Megan has been working as a summer student at the Crown Attorney’s Office in Stephenville NL under the Department of Justice and Public Safety. Megan hopes to return to Newfoundland to practice law within her community following her graduation at the University of New Brunswick.
