IDEAS 2024: Diversity Summit NL by the Association for New Canadians
Workplace Diversity and Inclusion
IDEAS (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Anti-Racism Summit) 2024, is a one-day event designed to provide opportunities for participants to learn of the long-term benefits of immigration and workplace diversity. Targeting employers, it will feature keynote speakers and guest panelists who will share seminal research, best practices, and challenges around making both the province and the workplace more diverse and inclusive. IDEAS 2024 will offer perspectives for businesses and other stakeholders from which they can grow their efforts to recruit and retain talented workers through more inclusive practices and how to better support inclusivity in a diverse workplace.
You can be a part of this exceptional event in several ways:
- We welcome corporate sponsors and business donations to help make the Summit a greater success. Each sponsor will be recognized for their contributions in all our advertising and promotion for the event, as well as recognition on our webpage and front-stage sponsor board, with our gratitude expressed during the live broadcast on social media as well as on our YouTube channel. - We will be filling 200 seats from the business community and putting together some information packages. If you have anything you would like to include such as your business’s personalized pens, notepads, coupons, business cards, etc, we would love to include them. - Are you experienced in hiring immigrants and diverse minorities and interested in sitting on a Discussion Panel during the Summit on March 21st to share your thoughts, success factors and helpful information for other employers? If so, please email jryan@ancnl.ca for more information.
- Are you interested in attending this free event in-person which includes a complimentary lunch and free parking? If so, please email diversity@ancnl.ca and just respond “ATTENDING” to have more information forwarded back to you. This event will also air live on the ANC Facebook page and other social media platforms for those who cannot attend in person. We will have more information available on that in the upcoming weeks.
- As many colleges, MUN faculty and students, new Canadians, and members of the business community will be attending this event and watching it live, we plan on running a scrolling job board. If you have any job ad’s that you would like to forward to us in mid-March, we will add them to our job board for advertising during the event.
