Invitation to CCMW Employment Study Launch
The Canadian Council of Muslim Women (CCMW) is excited to extend an invitation to you & your organization to join us on June 20th at 1pm EDT to celebrate the launch of a groundbreaking, national employment study focusing on diverse experiences of Canadian Muslim women and their employers in the workplace.
The study is part of CCMW’s Addressing Barriers to Employment for Muslim Women Project (Project ASPIRE), funded by WAGE Canada.
Despite being more educated than the average Canadian, Canadian Muslim women often report feeling under-represented and face higher rates of unemployment. This study seeks to delve deeper into the reasons behind this disparity.
Led by Dr. Sarah Shah, Lead Researcher of the Muslims in Canada Data Initiative at the Institute of Islamic Studies (University of Toronto), this national study aims to unpack the stories of success, challenges, and everyday workplace experiences of diverse Canadian Muslim women and their employers.
By attending this launch event, you will gain valuable insights into the realities and lived experiences of Canadian Muslim women in the workforce and learn about actionable strategies on how the study can inform public policy to promote workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion for all.
Please join us as we celebrate this important milestone! We look forward to seeing you there!
