There is no aspect of the litigation process that is not affected by costs. As litigation counsel, you must be able to manage all cost aspects of your files: between you and your client and also between your client and the opposing side—from the commencement of the retainer to the final bill of costs.
This comprehensive one-day course is designed to give counsel at all levels a strong working knowledge of the principles and practice that govern the law of costs. This course will focus on the core areas and current issues and developments in this critical facet of litigation procedure and practice management.
Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 5.5 hours (this course will contain a minimum of 2 hours pertaining to professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management). Please note: The CPD hours of the rebroadcast will either meet or exceed the CPD hours of the original live webinar course.
