Seminar Overview:
Cybercrime is an increasing threat to law firms, putting client information, firm operations, and trust funds at risk. This session, presented by the Law Society’s Lawyers Insurance Programme, will explore how cybercriminals operate, the common ways law firms are targeted, and real-life examples of cyber incidents and their consequences. We’ll also cover practical steps lawyers and law firms can take to protect themselves and their clients, including key cybersecurity safeguards. Finally, we’ll review the cyber insurance coverage provided through your Law Society, the requirements to maintain that coverage, and what to do if your firm experiences a cyber incident.
