Public Legal Education Association of Canada (PLEAC) along with Jessica Reekie, Executive Director at Community Legal Education Ontario (CLEO), and Julie Mathews, CLEO’s former Executive Director, are planning PLEAC’s upcoming national conference on public legal education and access to justice.
We’re excited to share both a Save the Date and a Call for Proposals for this event, which will take place in Ottawa, Ontario, on February 18-19, 2026, with an additional day on February 20, 2026, dedicated to producers of public legal education and information.
We hope you’ll mark your calendars and also share this open call with your colleagues and networks who may be interested in attending or submitting a proposal!

We welcome proposals that highlight practical tools and strategies, emerging research, or collaborative approaches in public legal education and access to justice, such as:
If you don’t yet have all the session details, please submit as much information as you can and we’ll follow up as needed. All submissions will be reviewed, and applicants will hear from us within a few weeks of the deadline.
Registration will open soon and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and space is limited. We encourage you to register early once registration opens to secure your place.
