About the Session
Sean Murray has served close to twenty years in senior roles with the Newfoundland and Labrador Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner (OIPC), during which he has either led or carried out work associated with every aspect of the Office’s mandate. In this session, Sean will share his experience in conducting and overseeing privacy investigations. What can a complainant expect from this process? What can a respondent (public body or custodian) anticipate? What is the goal of a privacy investigation? What is the value of the complaint investigation process to complainants, respondents, and the public at large?
