The 2022 conference will be hosted online from November 24 to 25, 2022 and registration is now open.
This conference has been held annually since 2015, providing networking and professional development opportunities for Crown prosecutors, attorneys and allied professionals across Canada. The goal of the conference is to facilitate the sharing of information and resources about issues related to animal abuse in order to ensure that crimes against animals are prosecuted effectively and efficiently.
The 2021 conference hit record-breaking attendance and our roster of speakers delivered up-to-date educational information that will assist prosecutors and allied professionals when coming across an animal abuse file. This year’s lineup promises to be just as engaging and informative.
A snapshot of speakers and topics includes:
- Dr. Kendra Coulter: The Landscape of Animal Welfare Enforcement in Canada and the Importance of Collaboration;
- Sophie Gaillard, Montreal SPCA: Thoughts on Enforcement in the Aftermath of the Saint-Édouard Zoo Case; and
- Dr. Gail Anderson: Forensic Entomology in Animal Cruelty Investigation
We look forward to seeing you there!
