The Health Research Ethics Board is looking for lawyers to serve.

The HREB is constituted under legalisation (the Health Research Ethics Authority (HREA) Act) and has specific quorum requirements associated to expertise. One of the areas of expertise that is mandatory is a member that is knowledgeable in the relevant law.

The HREB has three subcommittees who meet biweekly – either Thursdays from 4-7 pm or Tuesday afternoons from 2-5 pm. The appointment process requires consultation with the CEO of Eastern Health, the President of MUN and the Minister of Health.
