The Single Parent Association of Newfoundland (SPAN) is a local organization whose mission is to provide supports for single parents, enabling them to regain control over their lives to empower themselves and their children.

Board Members support the work of SPAN and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance. Board meetings are held quarterly and are approximately 1.5 hours. Board Members typically serve 1 year term at a time with option for re-appointment each year.

SPAN is seeking individuals with past volunteer board experience willing to add new prospective to the organization. Must have high level of credibility and a keen interest in improving the lives of single parent families.
