Update – Access to Registry of Deeds

Please note the following changes for access to the Registry’s research area deeds vault, effective Thursday, September 9, 2021:
Registry Research Area Room:
- Concurrent appointment times will increase from a maximum of nine concurrent persons to ten.
Deeds Vault Room:
- The maximum number of persons inside the deeds vault at one time will increase from five persons to seven.
Public visitors to the Commercial Registrations Division office shall:
- Continue to respond to COVID-19 screening questions no longer than one business day prior to the appointment, and advise Registry management of any change prior to arrival;
- Provide prompt notification to Registry management should they receive a positive COVID-19 test result;
- Follow the posted occupancy limit so physical distancing can be maintained. The Division reserves the right to lower the occupancy limit as required by public health recommendations and/or non-compliance of physical distancing, or other required public health recommendations; and
- Practice physical distancing of at least two meters (six feet).
The following measures are highly recommended to ensure everyone’s safety:
- Wear a non-medical mask while in the deeds vault room;
- Practice good hand hygiene and make use of hand sanitizer provided; and
- Use the disinfectant wipes provided to wipe down equipment and surfaces that have been used.
