Islamic Heritage Month
For millions around the world, Islam brings spiritual comfort, guidance and fulfillment. In Canada, October is recognized as Islamic Heritage Month. From literature, math, science and art, the Islamic contributions to modern society have had a tremendous impact on our communities.
The Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador would like to extend best wishes to Muslims across the province as they celebrate Islamic Heritage Month, and encourage all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians to learn more about the rich and vibrant history of the Islamic faith.
If you are interested in learning more about Islam in Newfoundland and Labrador, on October 7th the Newfoundland and Labrador Public Libraries, Memorial University and the Muslim Narratives and Lives in Newfoundland and Labrador Community Project are hosting a webinar to discuss the history of Muslims in Newfoundland.
