Volunteers Needed: Jimmy Pratt Memorial Outreach Centre
In 2001, Kathleen Pratt LeGrow provided the initial funding to outfit our kitchen and to begin an outreach program based on offering weekly meals, as a dedication to her late brother Jimmy Pratt.
The Jimmy Pratt Memorial Outreach Centre is an incorporated body and registered charity dedicated to the support of individuals needing help to manage the challenges of everyday life.
Our mission for the Jimmy Pratt Centre is the provision of hot nutritious meals and other support services to those in need while treating our patrons with kindness and respect. We strive to improve the spiritual, physical, and emotional well-being of those whom we serve.
As we have grown; so, have our programs. Currently, we serve breakfast every Monday to an average of 100 people, we run a seniors inclusion program all day Wednesdays, and serve hot lunch to over 120 people every Friday.
Through this programming, we aspire to support all residents of the downtown core. To find out more about us and what we do please visit our website.
