If you have an innovative Canadian research project in the field of law, you may qualify for a grant. The Law for the Future Fund call for applications is now open.

Since its foundation in 1984, the fund has enabled initiatives about recognition of environmental rights, access to justice in civil and family matters, prostitution laws and women’s equality rights, the simplification of basic principles of human rights, and ways to make legal organizations more accessible to persons with disabilities. See the list of the 2023-24 grant recipients.

The Law for the Future Fund sponsors projects that are of national interest and/or are of benefit to the public in one of the following fields:

• Legal research
• Legal education
• Legislation and law reform
• Administration of justice

The deadline for applications this year is May 1.
