International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia: 17 May
The International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia raises awareness of the violence and discrimination faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and other gender-diverse people, while recognizing their lived experiences and affirming the importance of dignity, inclusion, and equal rights for all.
This year’s theme, at the heart of democracy, is a reminder that truly democratic societies must be grounded in justice and freedom for everyone.
17 May is a time to honour the diversity and vibrancy of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, recognizing the wide spectrum of identities, experiences, and backgrounds that shape and strengthen our collective story. For more information, please click here.
