Applications Open for the Raj Anand LCO Access to Justice Research Fellowship

The Law Commissions of Ontario (LCO) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Raj Anand LCO Access to Justice Research Fellowship, a groundbreaking initiative to support access to justice, law reform and the next generation of justice advocates.

The Fellowship is the result of a transformative gift from the Raj Anand and Lesley Valentine-Anand Foundation and a matching grant from Osgoode Hall Law School, which together will create the recently announced $1M Osgoode Access to Justice Fund.

About the Fellowship

Research Fellows will undertake law reform research, contribute to the academic community, and participate in public discussions. Fellows may work on existing LCO projects or propose their own project addressing a current and important law reform issue in Ontario.

The Fellowship will be established for a 1-year term, starting from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2027. Fellows will receive up to $100,000 in funding for a full year. The LCO welcomes collaborations or secondments from other organizations.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in law, public policy or related field with demonstrated research and writing excellence. Experience in consultations and stakeholder engagement is an asset. The ability to function fully in English and French is also an asset.

The deadline to apply is Friday, June 12, 2026.
