We regret to inform you of the death of John Kelly.

John Kelly passed away on Wednesday 6 April 2016. After completion of his law degree from Dalhousie University in 1970, John was called to the Bar on 15 April 1971 becoming #316 on the Barrister’s Roll. Mr. Kelly briefly worked as director of Public Prosecutions but had been a partner at his law firm, Kelly, Piercey for close to 30 years.

John was a highly respected lawyer and his dedication to the practice of law and knowledge of the legal system was remarkable. He was an extremely private man but was as personable as he was private. John was not one to shy away from a laugh or pleasant conversation and always enjoyed helping younger members of the Bar.

There is no funeral service planned.
