We regret to inform you of the death of former member, Claude Alexander John Sheppard, QC.

Mr. Sheppard passed away a few days ago in Frankfurt, Germany, en route to his home in Vancouver, British Columbia, following a vacation in the wine country of France. He was a member of the Dalhousie Law School Class of 1971. He articled with Hon. Derek Lewis, QC and was admitted to the Bar in Newfoundland and Labrador on December 14, 1971 as #319 on the Barrister’s Roll. Mr. Sheppard practiced for many years with the firm of Lewis, Day, Sparkes, Cook & Sheppard in St. John’s. Thereafter, he was involved in various matters relating to the offshore oil industry in the Province. He subsequently moved to British Columbia and was involved in the winery business. He is survived by his brother Martin. May he rest in Peace.
