We have been asked by The Canadian Bar Association – Newfoundland and Labrador Branch, to circulate the following information regarding another Access Law Clinic. The Access to Justice Steering Committee is planning on holding another Access Law Clinic to deal with family law matter, in May.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Access to Justice Steering Committee will be holding its fourth “Access Law Clinic” to provide free legal advice to the public in the area of family law.

Appointments will be required and participants will be expected to complete and submit an intake form in advance of the clinic, as well as completing the clinic waiver before meeting with the volunteer.

The Access Law Clinic will take place on Saturday, May 12 from 10:00am- 2:00pm at the Law Society Library, St. John’s.

The Committee is looking for volunteer lawyers (and articling students with permission from their principals) to cover two shifts: from 10:00am – 12:00pm and 12:00pm- 2:00pm to meet with clinic participants.
