AGM and Financial Statements
Please note the following:
1. The Annual General Meeting of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, 8 June 2018 at the Law Society Building, 196-198 Water Street, St. John’s; and
2. The Law Society’s annual audited financial statements for 2017 are attached. These financial statements incorporate the operating results of the Law Society, the Lawyers Insurance Programme, the Assurance Fund, the Endowment Fund (Browne & Pratt Scholarship Funds) and the Internal Restricted Fund for 2017, as well as the financial position of same at December 31, 2016. The statements are presented in the current format in accordance with Canadian Accounting Standards for not-for-profit organizations.
The audited financial statements will be presented at the Annual General Meeting of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
