Canadian Study on Legal Process Outsourcing

We have been asked by CorbinPartners Inc. to circulate the following information to our membership.

CorbinPartners, which provides corporate business intelligence and forensic market research, is working together with Taran Virtual Associates to do a national online English-language survey of practising lawyers to gauge the state of Legal Process Outsourcing in Canada. While Legal Process Outsourcing is perceived by some in the legal profession as a “game changer”, the lack of Canadian-specific research to date has made it difficult to assess the domestic growth prospects.

The objectives of the study on Legal Process Outsourcing are to track usage, identify motivations and barriers, highlight gaps between need and availability, and obtain input on best practices and areas of improvement. Those who complete this 10-minute survey can receive top-line results and provide for a cumulative honorarium to the IP Innovation Foundation.

The Canadian Bar Association has also notified its members about the survey through their CBA News: http://www.cba.org/News-Media/News/2016/May/lpo

Members are encouraged to complete the study, as it would help in assessing an important topic related to legal services for Canadians.
