Those lawyers seeking appointment to the Provincial Court of Newfoundland and Labrador should note the following:

• All forms, including the Guidelines and Procedures Regarding the Selection of Candidates for Judicial Appointment, can be found here
• Applications will be reviewed by the Judicial Council of the Provincial Court of Newfoundland and Labrador in order of receipt.
• It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that his or her application is complete and that all materials have been successfully delivered to the Office of the Chief Judge of the Provincial Court of Newfoundland and Labrador.
• Assessments made by the Council are valid for a period of two years.
• Applicants may submit a new application inside of the two-year period if there is further information for the Council to consider.
• The Judicial Council will continue to review applications as they are received.
• There are currently two vacancies at the Provincial Court.
