Do you crave interacting with tiny pictures of other lawyers? Do you sigh with delight when even simple calls are prefaced by 15 minutes of people unable to plug in their microphones? Does watching people spend your potentially billable hours forgetting to unmute themselves make your heart flutter? (Flutter, not palpitations of rage.) Did you mortgage your house to buy ZM?*

If you answered “yes” to any of those questions, then you may not enjoy the below event very much. Nevertheless, you are all cordially invited to the CBA Young Lawyers Spring Social, taking place this coming Thursday, May 12 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm.

In recognition that it’s been an abysmal two years for professional social events, this event is open to all young lawyers. There is no need to be a member of the CBA, though membership has many benefits and I do encourage you to consider signing up (it’s cheap for young lawyers! Plus, your firm might subsidize it. Speak to your managing partners!).

Join us in celebrating spring while meeting and connecting with young lawyer members of the provincial bar! This event is open to young lawyers*, current articling students and current law students. Advance registration is required. You can confirm your attendance by emailing cba-nl@cba.org.

* The CBA defines young lawyers as those under the age of 40, or who have been at the Bar for 10 years or less. Non-CBA member attendees must be current members of the Law Society of NL. All current articling and law students are welcomed and encouraged to attend.
