Grappling with Unconscious Bias

Seminar overview: This participatory workshop will clarify the meaning of “unconscious bias,” drawing on definitions and standards currently articulated by Canadian federal research funding agencies and used within contemporary research. Using examples from the news cycle, and from their own work within the domains of gender and politics, as well as development and internationalization, presenters will encourage participants to apply insights about unconscious bias to their own work.
