COURT OF APPEAL OF NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR
NOTICE TO THE PROFESSION AND GENERAL PUBLIC
COURT OF APPEAL OPERATIONS
Following completion of flood related remediation and renovation, the Court of Appeal has resumed operations at its original location (287 Duckworth Street).
Effective Monday, February 28, 2022, appeals and applications will be heard in person, unless the parties are notified otherwise.
The Court’s Registry is open to the public; however, public access may be limited to one person in the Registry at a time depending on the health guidelines in effect.
All persons entering the Court of Appeal will continue to be required to wear a mask.
The Court of Appeal Courtroom has been equipped with plexiglass partitions. The partitions allow for protection on the judges’ bench, counsel tables, and the court officer’s workstation. Removal of masks in the Courtroom is subject to the discretion of the presiding Justice.
The procedures described in this notice are subject to change depending on health guidelines.
