Court of Appeal Operations

The Court of Appeal will revert to virtual hearings, for the time being, unless parties are notified otherwise. Appeals and applications will be heard by way of videoconference or teleconference for scheduled matters. The Court of Appeal Registry will contact the parties with instructions.

Members of the media and the public may request to observe Court hearings by teleconference. Interested parties may contact the Registry for assistance by email at coaregistry@appeal.court.nl.ca or by telephone at (709) 729-0066. If the matter is one that the public would ordinarily be able to attend, you will be given a teleconference number so you may call in to listen to the proceedings.

The Court’s Registry remains open to the public at this time; however, public access is limited to one person in the Registry at a time.

The procedures described in this notice are subject to change as the situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve.
