Join the S.S. Daisy Legal History Committee for a dramatic reading of Leviathan Unbound: the Case of Currie v Macdonald: The 1948 Case to Strike Down the Confederation Referendum. This event is to mark the 75th anniversary of confederation.

The cast is recruited. Justice Kate O’Brien to play Mr. Justice Sir Brian Dunfield and Michael Crosbie to play Robert Furlong (both acting for the former members of the Newfoundland Government); Ian Kelly to play James Power (acting for the Governor and Commissioners of Government); and Rhona Buchan to play the court crier (providing the context of the case and background on people involved).

No advance ticket sales. Limited seating at 160 people. The event is public and free to all. Seating will be available on a first come basis.
