Join us in celebrating the vital work of duty counsel lawyers – dedicated legal aid professionals who provide free, on-the-spot advice for family, criminal, and immigration cases across Canada.
Duty Counsel Day raises awareness of the important role duty counsel play in Canada’s justice system and their contribution to access to justice. This work also encourages people to learn about their legal rights, explore careers in law and recognize the impact duty counsel have in their communities.
