Fraud Prevention and Awareness
Members are reminded to remain vigilant when receiving unexpected or suspicious communications. Fraudulent communications may falsely represent the Law Society, lawyers, clients, financial institutions, or other individuals.
If you receive a suspicious or unexpected message, verify its authenticity by contacting the purported sender directly using trusted contact information. Do not rely on contact information provided in the suspicious communication.
Never click on suspicious links or open unexpected attachments, and do not provide confidential or financial information unless you have independently confirmed the request.
