Launch Your Legal Career in Canada: NEW MICRO-DIPLOMA PROGRAMS FOR INTERNATIONALLY-TRAINED LAWYERS
Undertake the Micro-Diploma in Public Law or Micro-Diploma in Private Law at the University of Manitoba for a flexible and clear pathway for internationally trained lawyers to become licensed to practice law in Canada.
These micro-diplomas are designed to help lawyers educated outside Canada, or those who hold a Canadian civil law degree, satisfy the Federation of Law Societies’ National Committee on Accreditation’s (NCA) requirements to obtain a Certificate of Qualification—a necessary step towards licensure.
The Micro-Diploma in Canadian Public Law, and its counterpart, the Micro-Diploma in Canadian Private Law, will help ensure lawyers educated outside Canada get a strong start to their legal careers in Canada. The program provides legal education to meet the NCA’s required competencies while offering rich elective options and opportunities to make connections within the Manitoba legal community.
