Limited Space: Trauma-Informed Training for Legal Professionals (FREE) – Journey Project is teaming up with the RISE Program (PEI)
The Journey Project is teaming up with the RISE Program (PEI) to offer two free, virtual workshops on trauma-informed legal practice! Facilitated by clinical psychologist Dr. Lori Haskell, participants will gain skills and knowledge in supporting survivors of sexual violence and intimate partner violence.
Lawyers who want to participate can choose between two dates and virtual seats are limited:
⏰ March 14th from 1 pm – 5 pm (AST) (only 15 spaces remain)
⏰ March 27th from 9 am – 1 pm (AST) (only 7 spaces remain)
Participants will learn how:
Trauma is stored in the body and limbic system, creating physical and psychological symptoms.
Trauma can impact victim memory, reactions and behaviour and how misinterpreting this behaviour impacts sexual assault investigations.
