By Order of an Adjudication Tribunal of the Disciplinary Panel of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador dated 20 February 2025, Kenneth LeDrew has been disbarred. As a result, Kenneth LeDrew has been struck from the Roll of Barristers in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador and all his rights and privileges as a member of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador have ceased.
Prior to the Order, Kenneth LeDrew had non-practicing status. He previously practiced at 24 Hillcrest Road, Corner Brook, NL. The conduct that was found to be deserving of sanction included:
- Failure to cooperate with a practice management review;
- Failure to cooperate with the Law Society;
- Failure to respond to communications from the Law Society;
- Sending correspondence to the Law Society that was abusive, offensive or otherwise inconsistent with the proper tone of a professional communication from a lawyer;
- Failure to report a judgement to the Law Society; and
- Failure to self-report a criminal charge.
The Adjudication Tribunal ordered:
- The Respondent be disbarred;
- The Respondent is ungovernable; and
- The Respondent shall pay costs to the Law Society in the amount of $5,650.00 plus disbursements within 12 months of this decision.
